Landing of Columbus 1492 Vintage Collector Souvenir Spoon Convent of of La Rábida
This is an ornately decorated pewter souvenir spoon made by Towle to commemorate the "Land of Columbus 1492".
At the top of the spoon is the likeness of Christopher Columbus with the words "Landing of Columbus 1492".
The bowl is engraved with the likeness of one of the discovery ships.
The back of the spoon is decorated with the likeness of the Convent of La Rábida. The convent is best known in history where Christopher Columbus stayed for two years before setting out on his discoveries.
This spoon is made of pewter and measures 5 inches in length.
No original box.
This spoon is in good condition. No rust or dents noted. Spoon has fine scratches associated with age and use. Spoon may need polishing.
